Numbering with bullets means that you will provide a numbering format with symbols that are provided in Microsoft Powerpoint. For this reason, the following steps are to provide numbering with Bullets.

1. Select the text that will be numbered with bullets.

2. Select the HOME tab and in the Paragraph group, click the Bullet button dropdown.

3. In the submenu options, select one of the desired numbering types, for example Arrow Bullets and see the results.

4. If you want to choose another symbol shape that is not in this submenu option, you can select Bullets and Numbering

5. Bullets and Numbering dialog box will appear, then click the Cutomize button so that Symbol dialog box appears.

6. In the Symbol dialog box, click the Font dropdown then select Wingdings.

7. Then select one of the desired symbol shapes, then click OK.

8. Next you will return to the Bullets Numbering dialog box and symbol you just added will appear there.

9. Then click OK to apply the symbol to the Text.

Number with Numbering

In the numbering format with Numbering, you can not only number numbers, but you can also use numbering in alphabetical, Roman or other forms.

The steps for numbering using Numbering are as follows:

1. Select the text that will be numbered.

2. Select the HOME tab and in the Paragraph group, click the Numbering button dropdown.

3. In the submenu options that appear, select one of the desired numbering types and see the results.

TIP: Every time you use numbering, the numbering will start from the number one or the letter a if you choose the alphabetical model. If you want to start numbering not from number one or letter a, here’s how:

1. Select text that has been numbered

2. Click the Numbering dropdown then select Bullets and numbering

3. In the Bullets and Numbering dialog box, click the Numbered tab, in the Start at section, enter the initial value as the numbering, for example 3.

4. Click OK to finish, and the results can be seen in the image below.
