In Microsoft PowerPoint 2016, you can insert pictures, photos, clip art, or other images into slides from your computer or from the Internet. As for how to insert images, you can do this via the four command buttons (Pictures, Online Pictures, Screenshot, Photo Album) on the Insert > Group Images tab.
How to Insert Pictures from a Computer
Follow the steps below to add images from computer files:
- Select the slide where you want to insert the image.
- Click the Insert Tab > Pictures in the Images group so that the Insert Picture dialog box appears.
- Look for the folder where you saved the image file on your computer, if you find it, click on the image file then click the Insert button.
How to Insert Images from a Website
Follow the steps below to add images from the website:
- Select the slide where you want to insert the image
- Click the Insert Tab > Online Pictures in the Images group so that the Insert Pictures dialog box appears.
3. In the Insert Pictures dialog box, type for example “Horse Clip Art” from Bing Image Search.
4. Wait a moment until the image you are looking for appears, then select the desired image then click the Insert button.
How to Insert an Image from a Screenshot
Follow the steps below to add an image from Screenshot:
- Select the slide where you want to insert the image.
- Click the Insert Tab > Screenshot in the Images group so that a selection of screenshots from applications open on your computer appears.
3. Select the screenshot you want by clicking on the image in question, then the image will be added directly to your presentation slide.
How to Insert Pictures from Photo Album
Follow the steps below to add images from Photo Album:
- Select the slide where you want to insert the photo.
- Click the Insert Tab > Photo Album > New Photo Album in the Images group.
3. So the Photo Album dialog box appears.
4. Click the File/Disk… button, the Insert New Picture dialog box will appear then look for the folder where the Photo File you want to add is located, then select one or more photos then click the Insert button so that you return to the New Photo Album dialog box.
5. You can arrange the order of the photos in the Pictures in album section: after that click the Create button and the Photo Album is successfully created.
